Recognizing how critical precipitation is for long-term water resources in the Southwest, the Southwestern US Weather & Water Resilience Across Timescales workshop will bring together researchers, resource managers, natural hazards planners, and forecasters to discuss precipitation processes, their impacts, and their predictability across Arizona and neighboring regions. Join us at the University of Arizona’s Institute for Resilience in Tucson to discuss operational forecasting and planning needs, to identify synergistic opportunities around planned field campaign activities, and to assess the benefits of developing a mesonet observing system in Arizona.
The workshop is jointly organized by researchers at the University of Michigan, University of Wyoming, University of Arizona, and NSF NCAR, with generous support from the PACUR Community Engagement Fund, administered by the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research.
