When
Join us for an interactive dialogue on equity while we answer the question: can we find opportunities to use an equity approach for improving our education systems and strengthen community?
Through the personal stories of a panel of faculty and students who have traveled with the University of Arizona’s Cultural and Inclusive Experiential Learning Opportunities (CIELO), and short videos, we will explore equity from around the world and in our state. Following this, students will facilitate dialogue in small groups to discuss opportunities and actions for our diverse communities here in Arizona. Each table of participants will generate an approach that will contribute towards the final recommendations report by the Statewide Town Hall.
Dinner will be provided.
This event is presented by the University of Arizona’s Office of Cultural & Inclusive Experiential Learning Opportunities (CIELO), The Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, the Agnese Nelms Haury Program in the Environment and Social Justice, Arizona Institute for Resilience, and The Arizona Town Hall.
