Connect with community members, students, alumni, faculty, and staff at our Indigenous Health: Connecting with Wellbeing and Community Day. This day is full of events focused on knowledge, wellness, and community including:
- Traditional blessing with Miguel Flores Jr. LISAC, CSOTS
- Opening remarks from N. Levi Esquerra, Senior Vice President for Native American Advancement and Tribal Engagement at the University of Arizona.
- Discussion on Indigenous Wellness from the Director of Healthy Tribes at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and our 2022-2023 Alumna of the Year, Dr. Julianna Reece MD, MPH '96
- The smudging demonstration led by Carlos R Gonzales MD '81 FAAFP
- Workshops on traditional Indigenous cultural activities
