Grounded in a connection to place, community, and one another, the Diana Liverman Scholars Program prepares undergraduate students to become environmental leaders, communicators, and problem-solvers.

The Diana Liverman Scholars Program was created for undergraduate students who are passionate about the environment and want to connect sustainability with their chosen field of study. Through hands-on learning, interdisciplinary teamwork, and collaboration with community partners, the Diana Liverman Scholars Program allows students to make a tangible impact in their community and local environment while developing resume-worthy skills in teamwork, leadership, problem solving, communication, and project management.

In an interdisciplinary team with their undergraduate peers, Diana Liverman Scholars will use the skills they develop during their weekly workshops the year to create a communication piece that advances the mission of an environmental community partner in Southern Arizona. Visit our Community Partners page to see examples of past projects.
