This section of the guidebook is dedicated to marginalized and oppressed communities such as the Black, Indigenous, Hispanic, Asian/Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, LGBTQ+, Women’s, and Ability/Disability communities. This section is a place for individuals of these communities to find resources and information as well as for AIR personnel and other organizations to access these resources.
*Content Warning: The resources and information in this section may include information about mental health struggles, including suicide, interpersonal violence, brutality, and discrimination. Due to the nature of the topic and the marginalized oppression this community faces, several of these resources refer to these struggles.
How to Navigate This Section
Due to the high volume of information and resources in a variety of media outlets, each community has its own individual page so that it can be organized as efficiently as possible for easy navigation and access. In the next section titled “Page Outline,” the outline of each community page will be displayed as a guide on how to navigate each page. Below that section is the “Community Resources Table of Contents” which is essentially a table of contents of all of the pages in order. Each community listed under the table of content is clickable to direct you to that specific page or you can use the sidebar. If there is a link to a source, the text will be red and underlined to signify the link.
