Clark Reddin
Clark Reddin is currently the Director of Operations for the University of Arizona’s Tumamoc Desert Laboratory and has been supporting research and education for 20 years. Supporting the research and public outreach of the Desert Laboratory has become a passionate endeavor. Engaging people in a balanced and productive manner allows diversity of thought and engagement.
Clark began his education with a focus on alternative energy followed by business at San Diego State and Chico State. He was the principle investigator for the Arizona Game and Fish Heritage Fund grant for interpretive signage on Tumamoc Hill. Additionally, he has served on executive committee of the Science City Tucson Festival of Books for the past 10 years.
Before joining the Desert Laboratory, he held a similar position with the University of Arizona’s Biosphere 2 and Columbia University’s Biosphere 2 Center. At these organizations, he directed the campus departments of Biosphere 2 Engineering and Operations, facilities Maintenance, Grounds, Site Services, Security, Environmental Health and Safety, Renovation and construction, and served as Tour Operation Manger. Prior to his joining the Biosphere 2 Center, Reddin spent 12 years in the hotel industry, where he held the positions of Director of Engineering, Construction Manager, Director of Food and Beverage, and General Manager.
He resides in Oro Valley, Arizona where he served on the Oro Valley Planning and Zoning Commission and Development Review Board. He is married to the former Dana Preston of Incline Village, Nevada, where they met in high school. They have two children and three grandchildren.
