Anita Govert
Anita is responsible for programmatic management, focused on the elements of research budgetary oversight and strategic logistical processes which supports the successful execution of the Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (SW CASC). SW CASC is one of only nine national DOI/USGS funded climate adaptation science centers. The Center’s mission is to work with natural and cultural resource managers to develop and deliver scientific information and techniques to anticipate, monitor, and adapt to climate change in the southwestern United States. Anita fills the role of UA administrative nexus for six partner institutions, Colorado State University, Desert Research Institute, Scripps Institution of Oceanography @ UC San Diego, University of California, Davis, University of California, Los Angeles and Utah State University. The research team is comprised of 14 investigators and approximately 30 affiliated staff.
