Grounded in the sciences, we bring together researchers, educators, problem-solvers, and innovators from diverse disciplines – engineering, humanities, economics, public policy, law, the arts, and beyond – to develop innovative and practical solutions to the environmental and resilience challenges we all face.

AIR Annual Resilience Theme Grant

The AIR Annual Resilience Theme Grant competition for Academic Year 2026–2027 is now accepting applications! This grant will use TRIF WEES funds to support an interdisciplinary University of Arizona team to develop and deliver a creative and inspiring year-long agenda of events and activities focused on a single, resilience-related theme.

The Arizona Institute for Resilience manages the Technology and Research Initiative Fund: Water, Environmental, and Energy Solutions initiative at the University of Arizona.

Established with public support via voter approval, TRIF is an essential resource for growing Arizona’s economy and providing opportunities for Arizona residents to learn, work, and thrive. The WEES initiative funds, in particular, efforts to make Arizona more resilient in times of change.
