Indigenous Food Sovereignty: A Short Course with Dr. Michael Kotutwa Johnson (Hopi) & Dr. Karletta Chief (Diné)
Join leading Indigenous scholars for a dynamic three-day course exploring the global impact of the food sovereignty movement and its deep roots in Native governance, trade, and cultural resilience. Through critical discussions on policy, tradition, and sustainability, participants will gain insight into how Indigenous communities shape and challenge dominant food systems. Offered January 12–14, 2026 in Tucson, this course (LAW 631R) is open to students and community members interested in Native Nations, law, and the future of food.
