Ben Wik
R&D Software Engineer II, Power Forecasting Group
Ben Wik joined the Arizona Institute for Resilience in June 2026 as a software engineer in the Power Forecasting Group. He builds and supports the software behind the group's weather and power forecasts, from the pipelines that turn WRF model output into solar and wind power forecasts to the web tools people use to view them. His experience covers full-stack web development, cloud infrastructure, and high-volume data pipelines. Outside of work, Ben is a hobbyist game developer, an avid birdwatcher, and butterfly enthusiast.
