Program Manager, Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center

Kat is the Program Manager for the Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center (SW CASC), based at the University of Arizona. In this role, she supports the University Director and Deputy Director in program and business operations and assists the Communications Specialist in communications and outreach initiatives. Kat also works on events and conference planning – including the biannual Southwest Adaptation Forum. Kat is excited to help facilitate cross-sector research and partnerships to advance climate adaptation solutions. She joined the SW CASC team in January 2026.

Most recently, Kat served as a Natural Resources Program Manager for the National Park Service's Air Resources Division. She was responsible for coordinating national air quality monitoring, communications, and digital content. She has a particular love for citizen science, place-based learning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Fun fact: Kat has been on seven river trips throughout Arizona, Colorado, and Utah to sample dragonfly larvae!
