The Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center is proud to welcome WIlliam deBuys for a special keynote address on climate adaptation, resilience, and hope.

William deBuys is a Pulitzer Prize Finalist who has authored more than ten books, including A Great Aridness: Climate Change and the Future of the American West, River of Traps, and The Trail to Kanjiroba: Rediscovering Earth in an Age of Loss. DeBuy is a master storyteller with extensive knowledge and lived experiences in the desert Southwest and across the globe. Join us as he shares insights and reflections on the effects of climate change – and how we can, and must, continue to build adaptation, resilience, and hope into our lives.
